It is with great pleasure that we announce ‘An Evening with Nicholas Opiyo’ this Thursday 20 October 2016 at Church Court Chambers.
Mr Opiyo is an award winning human rights lawyer and Director of Chapter Four Uganda. Members of his immediate family suffered at the hands of the Lord’s Resistance Army but now he is defending one their commanders. He was also responsible for helping to overturn Uganda’s draconian anti-homosexuality law in the Constitutional Court (more info here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0414lq0)
Do not miss this opportunity to hear from this inspiring man about his career and how he is helping to improve the situation faced by some of the world’s most vulnerable. 2 CPD hours will be available.
