Helen Mahy CBE

Helen Mahy CBE is delighted that she has never been a self employed barrister. Now chairman of a FTSE 250 energy company and an Equality and Human Rights Commissioner, she had a varied legal career as a lawyer in business and was for 14 years General Counsel of Babcock International Group PLC and National Grid Plc. Helen was an elected member of the Bar Council and sat on its GMC representing the interests of the employed bar.

Michael Harwood

Michael is a lawyer at HM Treasury advising primarily on international law and financial sanctions. He has been a GLD lawyer for nearly five years, having previously held posts at the Departments for International Trade, Communities and Local Government, and as a litigator. Michael is a former President of MTYBA and is the current Co-Chair of the Inn's Employed Bar Working Group.

Chelsea Jones

Chelsea is an employed barrister at KPMG LLP, specialising in all areas of Revenue Law, with an emphasis on indirect taxes including VAT, customs duty and excise. She has an additional specialism in litigating corporate crime matters with an overlap with Revenue issues.

Katy Varlow

Katy Varlow, now a second six pupil at the Crown Prosecution Service, has a significant amount of experience with the CPS, having worked for them for 17 years before starting pupillage as an Associate Prosecutor.
